What mightthe next box be?

???

We always include some sort of writing utensil but what will it be? What will make it uniqe as a Japanese stationey item?

Typically you'll see Japanese writing utensils have some technical detail, innovation or aesthetic you rarely see in other countires.

Tape of many types is often requested by subscribers. The number one type we see requested is Japanese washi tape, made of Japanese paper and is a great item to decorate or create with.

Great washi tape comes in various sizes, iridescent foil and die cut perforations. We also have other types of tape.

On occation there will be items you never knew existed! It could be familiar items in uniqe shape, or familiar shapes with uniqe functinons. Japan releases new stationery monthly, and we're always on top of new releases.

Some items that have turned heads in the past were the Ninipie Highlighter with a big and small marker tip on the same side, or the Sunstar Hamster desk cleaner.

You can never have enough notebooks, untill you do. We don't always include notebooks as longer subscribes may be overwhelmed by them, but we usually include an interesting type every three months give or take.

Our notebooks are always top quality paper from skilled and known Japanese brands like Midori, Tsubame, Ryu-Ryu etc.

We do not limit ourselves to pens and paper, we also have practical items that can be used outside of stationery worlds too!

Clips are just one example of this type of item, it could also be cases, pouches, desk cleaners and other relevant surprises.

We do not stray from our Japanese cultural background! Most of our team is Japanese and thanks to our multicultural team, we can select items that truly stand out, and also translate well abroad.

Japan is a lot more than folding fans and sushi, we work to find unique artist collaborations to show the breadth of Japanese creativity.

No, we won't send you a kitten (sorry) but perhaps something very cute? Japan is famous for "Kawaii" cuteness, and while we do love it too, we try to stick to a more "Otonakawaii" vibe.

Otonakawaii roughly translates to "Cute for adults" and is used for things that make your heart flutter, wether you're in your 30's 40's 50's or beyond!

Paper is at the heart of stationery, and it comes in many shapes, sizes, thickness, tooth, textures et cetra! We respect our varied subscribers and try to provide items that will satisfy those who know the item type, and delight those who don't

It's not just notebooks, we also provide letter sets, sticky notes, memo pads, bookmarks and more, all with a unique Japanese twist of course.

Sometimes the simplest item may be the one that delights you the most. Japan is known for overdesigning tools, but also for minimalism.

Even a classical pencil can have details that make them worth includign in the box, despite pencils being avilable worldwide.
