This month’s digest brings together thoughtful design wins, new writing tools, and fresh reads from our blog. From ichi-clip’s BIG SEE 2025 Grand Prix to smooth new releases designed for comfortable, mindful writing, we’re sharing the stationery moments that stood out alongside deeper dives into Kuretake’s craftsmanship and our guide to Japan’s best mechanical pencils.
A few highlights worth sharing.
Released on Dec 23, Mitsubishi Pencil expanded its uniball ZENTO series with a new 0.7 mm tip across three models: Signature, Standard, and Basic. Despite the bolder line, ZENTO’s water-based ink keeps its smooth, low-bleed feel. It is ideal for clear handwriting, idea sketching, and moments when writing is meant to feel slow and satisfying.

Recognized with the BIG SEE 2025 Grand Prix, ichi-clip stood out for its elegant simplicity and thoughtful usability.
Despite its compact 25 mm size, it securely holds up to around 50 sheets of standard copy paper, is made from rust-resistant stainless steel, and allows you to adjust the grip strength by flipping the tip.

Launching Jan 9, 2026, Kokuyo and Delfonics celebrate their shared anniversaries with the first-ever Campus × Rollbahn collaboration. By swapping covers, bindings, and inner paper designs, the two brands highlight what makes each beloved—resulting in notebooks that feel familiar yet refreshingly different, with additional limited designs debuting at Bungu Joshi Haku 2025.
